I would love to have it done to my N64, but the operation and the board are really expensive. The de-blur algorithm does look like it works magic and makes the games appear to my sensibilities for game aesthetics. As it is a luxury I cannot have right now, I will have to settle for a generic RGB mod which doesn't improve the image, but does give better colors.

Those who got the mod seem to love it, but I have not heard of any lag reports. I can't afford a BVM either, so life is suffering with the N64 to me (thus why I am late to enjoying its games).

Yeah, I am suspecting it may be a bootleg too now. I wasn't a N64 guy in its day, mostly Saturn, but enjoyed the N64 games. I am impressed that the label would be the lenticular hologram type, but the ROM chip having the markings removed. The board looks identical, just the suspicious chip.

That's an amazing site! More to help with verifying legit games. Definitely, bookmaking that one.

Much appreciated. This board is helpful in a cruel way, as the Majora's is now exposed to be bad, but comforting to know.

I'll still play Majora's, since it comes highly recommended, yet impressive that a box, instructions, cart casing with hologram label, and all would be faked for a bootleg. It is a more recent(ish) purchase, but now that puts into question other games I have. It just takes a while as I am still in the process of cleaning old controllers and games slowly.

It does show that games are only a side thing for a lot of people. In South Korea, you first did your homework on the PC, as a side bonus you can StarCraft. Yeah, the PS2 being a cheap DVD player and playing original Playstation games was more the reason to get the system over a Dreamcast. I also remember being appalled at the E3 that Netflix was the most exciting thing about a 360 update over games, but I was very wrong as my friend list was practically all people using Netflix, so I do not blame MS for following the statistics in tailoring their systems to what the numbers would suggest. I think Nintendo was going to do fine with their strong grip on the handheld market, strong enough to support the N64.

This thread is surprisingly civilized with great variety. Keep it up!

I waited for it to go on discount before purchasing. It is very nice. Still gotta get the Japanese N64 one to see Japanese-faced Joanna Dark (and very cool cover).

That one is very cool.
