If you get a component to VGA box the Wii can hook up to the monitor as well as the PC. If you're only transcoding there's no lag, and you can play in glorious progressive scan rather than 480i. The only downside to this setup is if you're playing a game that doesn't support 480p there will be lag and artifacts from deinterlacing.
