it sucks watching the geometry slowly decay and the picture losing stabilization, but, i sure as fuck got a ton of enjoyment from it the past few years, whatever happens.
it might force me to learn some intense CRT repairs though, which would be fun if i don't end up with 30,000 volts surging though my body kek

Modchip is a 12C508VP, that's all i know. Seems to be one of them fancy shmancy stealth mods as it can play spyrah'
PS is a 5501 for xStation, the highest it will support. there is the possibly a future HDMI mod somewhere down the line, but i have a beautiful trinitron so there is no need for that as long as she keeps spittin out 'lectrons.

depends, one of the main advantages of a CRT is they don't introduce extra lag, signal goes in, picture goes out, that's it.
howeverrrrrr with widescreen and some later HD CRTs they do have some signal processing with early 2000s era chips which can introduce a ton of lag, so you lose basically the main advantage of having a CRT in the first place.
what's the model? is it a TV or monitor?

there are things you can do in emulators to reduce that in emulators: run-ahead, full screen, turning off vsync, properly polled controllers, 1ms monitor, but it will never be quite like a cathode ray chube
