I have no fucking clue why only that was broken, but that's how it was. Some games like Micro Machines it basically made no difference, but others games with otherwise trivial obstacles suddenly became insurmountable.

Like that little platform at 0:33, without a down button you're just fucked. Was actually a little interesting seeing how far different games could be completed without a down button, though it was more frustrating to deal with.
