So, you want to make a custom PLAYPAL?

Have I got some mildly interesting news for you.

http://3dlutcreator.ru/demo/3DLUTCreatorDemo.zip (In the demo you can't save, but for this it doesn't matter at all)

Open the Grading-Guide.png in the 3D LUT Creator. You've probably noticed that it's just a bunch of Doom screenshots, but what you may have missed is that it's all software and that the Doom palette is in the bottom right corner.

Adjust the colours using the options under the tabs for Channels, Volume, A/B, C/L, Curves, 2DCurves, and Mask. You can click and drag on the image to adjust the colours as well.

When you're done, zoom in on the palette (viewing 1:1 doesn't always show you every pixel for some reason) in the bottom right, screenshot it, crop it in Photoshop or a similar program, resize to 16x16 (nearest neighbour), flatten it, and save as Photoshop Raw.

Bam, new PLAYPAL.

Maybe you'll want to create your own Grading Guide with screenshots that feature more colours, this was hastily made.

You can find some tutorials for 3D Lut Creator on YouTube if you want to do more than dick around.

Posted some Doom screenshots on /p/ and asked them to colour grade them.

Here's the resulting palettes: https://www.sendspace.com/file/igqwz0

Attached is the image I use to help me see what my adjustments will look like in-game. It really should have a screenshot of Zombieman ass since the red there has to stay close in luminosity to the cream pants.
