That's the reason I think NGCD dpad is terrible, but I prefer Genesis dpad over SNES.

That's a hard question, most likely gonna depend on the person.
I like Xbox's dpad but hate its position. Symmetrical sticks have better ergonomics for both analog stick and dpad
Playstation's dpad is good as well its up to preference I think.
Both of them are good and they have much better ergonomics than older controllers.
Xbox has reliability issues if you are unlucky face plate buttons don't work properly. Unfortunately, it is a hardware issue, so nothing you can do about it.

Are there modern controllers with microswitches in joystick (or would it count as a d-pad?) like the Neo Geo controller?

Anyone know of any clicky replacement tactile micro-switches for the NEO GEO CD controller?

Sorry, the last thread went to limbo before i could ask.

How good is the original Neo Geo CD controller for fighting games? Especially for permoving hops and double quarter circles in a consistent basis on King of Fighters games.
