Never played drakan, but I played a lot of rune: Viking warlord. Your description of drakan (picking up limbs and beating people to death with them) reminded me of rune. It's a pretty fucking based game about Viking mythology n shit. I recommend you check it out it also released in 2000.

Picrel is my go to, but have recently also been giving Hexen II a go, and it's pretty fun.

Notable titles which I haven't fully played through also include Drakan - which has the whole flying dragon thing going for it, and slightly less stalwart titles like Nightmare Creatures, Die By the Sword etc.

Any other good ones to play?

Rune gold, Rune classic or Rune classic with the extended mod (which restores gold's cut content)?

So apparently Classic cut 10 levels but also improves AI and adds more enemies, does the extended mod just reverse the game back to Gold but still keeps the improvement?
