Okay, okay I have to come clean here,

I'm the guy who originally started a retron 3 thread several months back asking /vr/ about how it was, and how I just wanted a 3 in 1 console because I needed to clear out space in my media shelves because it was cluttered with consoles.

Has this escalated this far? I got chased off the thread because everyone called me a shill, and now every day I come back, I see another retron "Shill" thread.

I seriously apologize if this started something, I never meant for any of this to happen. Needless to say, I never did get the retron after /vr/ told me. but now its like someone thought that thread was funny and started viraling it all over the place. And from what I've seen everyone thinks it s always the same guy, the so called "retron shill"..

I just want to clear this up, because I feel /vr/ became worse because of me.. and for that, I apologize.

I know that FF is a hugely popular series, and JRPGs threads make up the bulk of /vr/ these days, but holy shit, how many fucking times can we have the same thread? Listen OP, if you're new and want to get into FF go into any of the already overflowing threads about FF on this board and lurk or ask, odds are at least one person will link to the pastebin. If you are doing this just for conversation, fuck you. I love FF, but we have too many fucking threads about this series as it is and all of them either awkwardly dissolve because everyone has run out of content to share or it devolves into shitposting.

This is a small board that goes at a snail's pace, I'll indulge you this time, but this shit has gotten really tiresome.

Being fair, the game, gameplay and overall design was really good.

But I HATED the way they took the story. Instead of keeping the focus on Shinra and all the mako plant rebelions, they shifted it to Cloud/sephiroth banter every other scene, and completely killed the story by making Sephiroth a complete mama's boy about Jenova. It only picked up again when the weapons began to rise, and all the lore about the weapons was told, but then they decided to throw that out too and just make sephiroth a fucking god instead.

I dunno. it had so much potential, but I feel they fucked it up by even introducing Sephiroth. They could have still had Jenova and meteor, but it didn't have to be the out of place bad boy with a 9 foot sword.

But that is the entire point you've been trying to argue against since the beginning, this entire time you've been saying that a character needs to change outwardly in order to show that they have gone through a character arc. And if you don't know what I'm talking about(I have a sinking suspicion that is what you're going to say next), you fucking outlined your argument here >>1696479 by saying:

And why the fuck are you suddenly linking me to a post In a completely different thread at that, I don't know why you expect me to know you've outlined or talked about anything outside of this thread? Plus, your example itself is stupid because the characters that do have development have the exact kind you just explained to the fucking tee, that is the development of nearly every character in FFVI with arcs, you literally just proved my point for me.

Ugh, I'm really tired of arguing this, I have a colossal headache from all this retardation. I honestly can't even tell if you are serious and are just backtracking because you can't think of a counter-argument(I also still assume you are the same guy because of your love for Lunar), or if I'm just being trolled.
