I downloaded Temple Run because of you. Unsurprisingly, the games have dickall in common, the only vague resemblance being the scenery, which is a landslide more refined in Crash Bandicoot.

It's shockingly easy to tell when someone criticizing Crash Bandicoot to this degree hasn't even played it.

Unlike Crash 3, which reduced "air acceleration" (slower to change direction in mid-air), threw out all that reminded of Crash Bandicoot's environment, put in a bunch of annoying vehicle levels and all the music from the bonus rounds and death routes are exactly the same now with instruments.

Didn't Banjo Kazooie have sewer music too, which had a bunch of farts and burps in it? I can't find it, and I haven't heard it, but you gotta ask what's harder; Making the filthy sewer exactly it is with matching filthy music, or making it a vibrant and even slightly comfy with catchy and exotic marimbas? That's entirely up to people's personal preferences, but I highly prefer the latter.
