I used to think Crystal Dynamics did a pretty good job reviving the series (AoD put expectations in the gutter), but after 2nd reboot trilogy my respect of them has plummeted. In hindsight, all the problems of the nuRaider started way back in the first reboot. Automated controls, linear design, emphasis on action parts, intrusive story that thinks it' hot shit, etc.

I really wish some indie developer would try their hand at making modern TR clone. I don't even care if it's modernized to be palatable to today's audience. Just something that actually leans on the design principles of classic TR.
