That's a PVM-20L5, not a BVM, so it doesn't require a remote, though there are ports for them on the back panel. The buttons on the newer PVM's (all the L* series AFAICT) are buttons on the sides of the display. A tiny bit irritating to change between component and composite by going into the menus instead of having a dedicated switch like the older model I had, but still really nice. You can disable the light that illuminates the buttons, to hide them while in use.

Quickly used GIMP to make the controls brighter in this pic, so you can kind of see them. That big square at the top right turns the lights off.

And yeah, I've had one.
