I've gotten to the point where I'll shell out $150-250aud for a good game in really nice condition/CIB
I'll likely hold onto it for the rest of my life, doesn't matter too much to me if it's $40-50 more than the usual price if it isn't in a cardboard box beat to shit with no/ripped manuals and inserts, I'm not some reseller looking to make a few dollars per sale that takes weeks and weeks

Honestly it's painful thinking about all the data and copies of games laying around in old abandoned warehouses, offices and dumps, essentially lost to time but still possibly discoverable. At some point this shit entertained thousands or millions of kids, teens, young adults, or whatever else but now they're stuck as relics in an old musty hellscape. Even supposed shovelware like E.T. It's sad that media like this gets forgotten so quick and easily. Maybe I'm too sentimental for old supposedly junky shit, I dunno.
Suppose it's the same for other mediums, though. For every Miles Davis or Hendrix or Beatles there's a thousand musicians that the majority of humans has forgotten about and will never remember again.

HotA is a fan mod that's popular with the multiplayer crowd but controversial with purists (in other words just like any other mod in history lol).
