I got one in 2001 and I loved it, mine didnt have any problems until just recently. But it also has to do with my power button being broken but it still requires some maintenance ever so often.
It wasnt til later that I found out about the console being discontinued because of how easy the software was to pirate and copy. Then I burned all the games, now, im buying real copies of the games I enjoy the most, so its a bit ironic.

No regrets though, I'd highly recommend one to anyone who loves arcade games.

Now if only I could get my hands on a Dreamcast arcade stick.
