There are several sidequests linked to it. The bone, the card. There are good dialogues too, like the trannie and the guy in a wheelchair that can fall into the sea.

Also IIRC whether or not you kill pic related at the start of the game determines if its corpse is on the beach later on.

This enemy really spoils what was an excellent setting in the opening Dollet assault. 5 self-repairs is just too much. 3 would've been suffice to prove the point that you had a choice and decided to beat it.

I did know about that one, mainly because it involved chasing the Queen of cards half way around the world just so she can spread random everywhere.

There's just so many different ways of doing things. I didn't know that you could save the dog during the Dollet mission or that you could destroy X-ATM092 on my first playthrough. And your SeeD ranking goes up massively.
