Anything by Artdink but I recently came across JP copy of Tail of the Sun in the wild at a local game store and it's really wacky.
Not an amazing game but I like the charm of just being an unga bunga caveman/woman and just fucking around killing things slowly making progress although admittedly after about two hours I wanted to see what exactly the goal was and went online to check, but going in completely blind is pretty funny.
It's a pain in the ass but oddly engaging.
I have not played their other games but I'm curious to look into their backlog, although I know a majority of it is mixed in reception.

Does anyone have the manual for this game in English? I've started playing it and I'm having a lot of fun, it's really good. But its hard to figure out or understand what to do, I feel like if I look at a walkthrough it will just spoil everything whereas the manual might give me a little push in a direction. I'd be really appreciative if someone has it.

What in the actual fuck is this game supposed to be

This game came out in the US and everything but I never really see it discussed, and I remember only one rental store having a copy when I was a kid. Was an open world survival game far before that was popular.

About 5-10 years ago I was driving home with a dead cellphone. I tuned to NPR and there was some kind of comedy program where a guy was reading through an apology letter he was writing to his roommate, who was away on vacation or something. My autism because powering up because midway through the monologue, the reader starts talking about playing Tail of the Sun for ps1. It's a major aspect of the story. I've never been able to find record that this exists.
Absolutely shot in the dark but do any anons know what I'm talking about ?
