What? Even with all its flaws I would keep Mother 3 the way it is. I'm happy it wasn't just EB again and was something pretty different. Both games feel diverse with their own strengths and weaknesses.

I think it's just shitters. Mother 1 is a bit grindy, sure, but not really imbalanced. Psi is WAY stronger in this game compared to 2 and 3, there is some psi I might even argue is too powerful. The game is pretty fair, I personally feel it is the most balanced overall as enemies can be a threat but still you still have your own powerful tools. Mother 1 really does have some genuine things over Mother 2 I feel. I would say the overall plot, balance, and exploration is better in 1 then 2. Still, I love all three games equally myself.

No, the nes prototype has a dry translation and censorship. This is the gba version from mother 1+2, above is a already patched rom. This version has a better translation however due to inferior hardware does have problems such as inferior sound and screensize. Overall this is still the best version. Color was also affected however a patch to fix the color exists, I also put this above. You will have to patch this in yourself though.

Every version of Mother 1 will have some problem, just deal with it. Don't listen to idiots who say to play the 25th anniversary hack or the EBZ version.

Play with the easy ring patch if it worries you that much. In my 10+ playthroughes I never found it too bad but there are four crucial points where I grind.
>Ninten leaving his house for the first time
>Ninten entering magican for the first time
>Loid joining your party
>Ana joining your party
After grinding Ana you should be fine. Also some tips.
>bread as a item, not a healing item, can be used as a way to instantly teleport back somewhere
>all your armor upgrades can be found in magicant. Just grind as you can buy the best armor as soon as you go there
>the onyx hook is helpful if you feel stuck in a dungeon and don't want to game over
>Ana's PSI is extremely powerful in this game, don't hoard MP as bosses are few and most are cutscenes

In my dozen or so playthroughs I find there are four points in the game you need to grind at overall.
1. Leaving your house for the first time
2. First entering magicant
3. When Lloyd joins
4. When Ana joins

After grinding Ana I never really grind after that point. Remember to be smart with tools and what you have. Things like bread crumbs and lasers will help, don't be stingy in item use. Its a great game, hope you enjoy it anon.

Good meme, the translation is unfaithful to the original and its censored. I don't care if "it's the version we would have got", that doesn't mean it's the version we want.

Also nice of you to forget this hack exists, adds tomato's translation to the NES version.

To anyone who hasn't played it yet just play tomato's translation, restores everyting and has the bonuses added to the US version.
