What the hell? Why is it so good?

I was resisting RetroArch for as long as I could, prefering the cleanness of standalone emulators, but Beetle HW with dynarec is just way too good for PS1 emulation.

Previously I used a mix of ePSXe and XEBRA (for 3D games my weak laptop couldn't full speed in ePSXe), but guess what? I tried RetroArch and Beetle HW with dynarec runs without FPS drops and with perspective correction to boot.

Guess I'm now a RetroArch fan.

Why do people hate it again? I kinda forgot.
I think last time someone explained to me was it something to do with how cores get scrapped and then you need to find a new emulator or something
or was it something about terrible/bad attitude towards accuracy

how the fuck is retroarch so non-user friendly? I just wanna map an arcade stick but its only giving me controller configs for a 360 controller. I fucking hate this thing.
