I get that you like the pixel art look produced by the resolution the SNES runs at, but that's always what the sprites would have looked like if the game was in higher resolution. It's the same style they used for their chibi FF designs.

Not him, I hate the sprites too. But Square has always liked that style for some reason. If FFVI came out in higher resolution originally that's very likely what they would have looked like. It's their chibi style, awful as it is.
