Idea I had for a map.
Player gets choice of 3 teleporters, each of which leads to a distinct area with a cardkey and a teleporter to a new area.
That new area contains teleporters to three new areas (again with a cardkey and teleporter onwards) but has key doors so you can't go get a second blue key.
Repeat one last time for the third card key, then get teleported the final area.

This way there'd be six paths through the level, so you could pick and choose your route.
