/vr/ - Retro Games

I went to japan early this year. They arcades are pretty nice. Most are just running the popular recent stuff though. You do have to go out of your way to find the retro stuff. Super potato in akihabara had a few nice things on the top floor (100 yen a play is fucking expensive though considering that other retro places are 50), and there was another arcade in akihabara that had older games in the basement level. Place was pretty deserted, which was weird since it had gundam extreme vs cabs and japs eat that shit up everywhere.

There was a really retro place in odaiba near sega joypolis too. That was mostly mechanical stuff though, with the vidya mostly being stuff from the 90s. It's sort of like Musée Mécanique in SF if you know what that is, but with 80s and 90s stuff.
