I get that it's the point, but it's not something that you can copy and have the same energy. The DOOM comic was made by someone who actually thought what they were making was cool; clearly over-the-top and with some intentionally sarcastic/goofy lines like the enviornmental rant, but overall something they thought their target audience would like in earnest. And I mean there are some nice pages in the comic between the meme lines. The new comic is not only nearly directly quoting the comic (especially the out-of-place environmental paragraph) but it's doing so "ironically," and that kills any chance of achieving a "so-bad-it's-good" quality. You cannot purposefully create something that's so-bad-it's-good; it's like Birdemic 2 or those Sharknado sequels, they're clearly not giving it their all because they WANT it to not be good, and the result is always stale and lazy.

I will say the art in the new comic is perfectly fine, it's just the writing that I don't like.

Once you get more confident at the game and learn how to better manipulate enemies, you'll kick that habit. I find that in a lot of areas it's better to run forward to a better hiding spot inside, and in the process of doing that you'll cause half the enemies in a room to infight, making it easier to pick off the ones that aren't since you have less focus on yourself.
