Mine likes to stick open too for whatever reason. I just pinch it with my thumb on the front tab, and my finger behind it on the back side, and push in and pull down. It may also be caught at a weird angle, mine gets stuck like that too, like its tilted one way or another.

I hope that helps. If need be, I'll make a video or something explaining it. Because you're not the first one to ask me the same thing.
