They also released the Evangelion typing games on the Dreamcast. They were not high production value games, but they were decent for typing practice and amusing enough. Which is why I recommended Typing of the Dead instead, it just looked like OP had a few Eva figures to go with the YF-21 from Plus.

Tons of fun to do, even in the arcade. While it is less stable for usage of each gun, it can work out your coordination and multitasking abilities.

You can slot a PuruPuru Pack into the gun for some rumble. It is a shame it has to be that way since America has a gun problem, so they had to look more and more outrageous such that the chances kids won't get shot by the police for having these devices will be decreased. I agree the stock Sega ones lack good balance, and would like a better one too.

I think it is quirky and fun. It was out of left field at the time with one of my favorite arcade games adapted for typing. Also amazing in co-op play with friends.

I actually want a Loopy, but they are very expensive for me to get one with working ink catridges.

Sega was in very bad shape financially, and Isao gave his life's fortune to keep Sega afloat. Sega used that money on two big gambles: Sakura Taisen 3 and Shenmue. The Love Hina games are VNs with a randomizer wheel Sega did on the side due to their earlier sucessful gamble with Evangleion helping them market the Saturn so well. VNs are cheaper to make than their high profile projects, and may catch a bit of sales. Isao died broke. Sakura Taisen and Shenmue are gaming and financial dead ends.

Imagine a parent giving all their wealth to a child, who in turn uses almost all of it on the Powerball and Mega Millions lottery. Spending the remainder for food for the remaining week and a gun. The lotteries did not hit, and the child watched their parent die from complications due to homelessness. All that is left is for the kid to put the gun to their mouth, that is Love Hina for the Dreamcast. Fortunately Sega was too dumb to buy ammo.

They weere what I used for most of the fighting games on the system. However for Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, they did develop it with the Dreamcast controller in mind.

This seems sarcastic ...

Money is difficult to come by. I have to settle for clone consoles. I didn't spend anywhere near that amount for Dreamcast, most of the stuff was from clearance bins for super cheap. No one likes Sega in my country so it was always $5 or less for a game, the peripherals were down to $20 or less.

Your friends seem like they appreciate the Dreamcast. I too enjoyed the Dreamcast in its day but my friends all hated it. No one in the USA likes Sega games back then. It was a common saying with my friends and strangers to just say "wait for the Playstation 2" in those days. As for fake Chinese controllers, I really do want the Treamcast controllers. The Treamcast controllers seem to be ideal for my hands.

I guess I am fortunate to not have Death Crimson OX, but I am not sure if the original supports light guns. Its sequel does, and I guess the novelty in its day of 4 Dreamcast guns for one game was amusing enough in a gathering setting. I have not played Confidential Mission either, only heard of it but haven't looked into the game.

Thanks. Don't let people discourage you from playing Code Veronica too. It is hated around here calling it the worst entry in the series with a lot of flaws, but I think it is pretty good anyway.

I have been searching for the Dreamcast special limited edition of Part 2. I think it came with headphones and a whole bunch of other stuff. I had to pass on it back then because it was costly, and now it is rarely seen. Did you ever get that?

I had no clue about the USB GDROM. From what I got searching about it, it functions differently than a GD-ROM drive, which is what the GDemu does, I think it adds some boot disk sort of layer to the instruction sets. I don't think the install is any different as both just plug into the drive port.

I've only used the official ones from Japan, and they worked well enough for me. They do take advantage of the rumble packs (puru puru packs) which is pretty cool.

The music to it has this strange beauty reminding me of the days. Getting home just even the sounds of the game loading and connecting, to see everyone there waiting and happy to see you. Getting to utilize the Japanese you do know to join in with others from afar. Cards were left from random people indicating they would love playing with you again. Showing off your custom emotes to others. Friendly people gifting you their Mags they raised/grinded for free. Just enjoying the repetitive, but still somehow a journey worth going to every time because of friends. I got fast enough typing with the d-pad, yet still my friends chipped in to get me a keyboard. Finding out others you knew also were playing and having a grand ol' time. The music was fittingly majestic with the experience.

Yeah it was nice, friends bringing in their computers and consoles every couple weeks for LAN fun. Showing off the most interesting new and old games. Connected computer multiplayer. It was my past. I guess these days it is even easier for kids to get a similar fun with modern connectivity. Times do change, but you like I remember the good times when we made it fun with what we had.

and MUCKs. There was also IRC to chat. Role playing from afar. Nerdy pleasures, but you met some interestingly different people from around.

I wish I had a clue. As I see from the history it is well out of my pay bracket and class to afford such custom work. The one I am seeing is called MAL Custom Consoles, which is on facebook.
https://youtu.be/zslKMREqsM4

Also I think there is Zoki64 which has a deviantart page. As I was really impressed with how some N64s turned out:

I just think it is nice, as some of my non-black systems have turned yellow due to exposure to sunlight and air. I also don't have an area to use for sunlight to make the high concentration peroxide + oxy clean + thickening agent to de-yellow some of my systems, so custom painting seems like another nice option for one of my Dreamcast systems.

>>3699569
Yeah, it also doesn't help that I like all sorts of games. I have those visual novels, date games, and anime games just taking up all that space. That is why I am looking to get the GDemu so I can escape the "collecting" label and join the happy people here burning games, not like I'd give up on those discs/manuals/extras as they are what I had (and still won't likely get any return on money for them), but it would ease my mind going forward enjoying my Dreamcast.

Getting two friends together with a high words-per-minute count together made it sound like mowing down zombies with gatling guns. Silly and brings a smile to our faces.

(I also think the new PS4 commercial is pretty cool)
