For me, using a CRT is all about nostalgia and authenticity. SCART/RGB/PVM's are a neat novelty, but neither me nor my parents knew what the fuck any of that crap was 20 years ago, and I feel like it would be way too much time/money/resources to mod all my consoles to get the best image quality out of them even if I did get a PVM or something.

What I like to do during the day while I'm working on something is play an old TV broadcast from archive.org or ToonamiAftermath through an old Roku connected to a VCR via RCA which then connects to my TV through RF. Yes it's pretty retarded but it's comfy as fuck and makes it feel like it's still 2004 or something.
