Not him, but I assume their point (that I agree with 100%) is that the PS2 wasn't just a gloried DVD player and that's why it did well. I am really tired of this straw man argument. It needs to stop. DVD players came out in 1996, not 2000 or 2001. Did it help the sales of the PS2 in Japan or America, sure. You just don't get the sales numbers year after year because your console is only a DVD player. It was the games and popularity of the system that made is a mega success. Just look at the sales numbers in this .GIF >>8022429

Snatcher, .hack//QUARANTINE, Haunting Ground, Resident Evil Long box, Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Silent Hill

I recently traded Mortal Kombat 3 ( PlayStation Jewel Case version) for Haunting Grounds and 200 dollars. Can't tell if I was an idiot for doing that. I am happy with the trade, but it does suck losing the most sought after PlayStation games. Oh well, I had no attachment to it and fell into owning the game anyway

The Sega 32X was the beginning of the end for the company.
People might say that the Mega CD was their first flop but that at least sold over 2 million units and had a wide variety of games (about 211 total).
The 32X on the other hand couldn't even break a million and had less games than the Atari 7800.
If Sega hadn't tried to keep the Genesis going for another year or so and instead focused on giving Saturn a proper US launch, maybe their future would have turned out differently.

once again i gotta say neat setup. dreamcast aesthetic all around. you should get some more games tho, but solid choices nonetheless.

now im just curious...really want to avoid seeming like im bitching about attention but seeing as im OP im obligated to shove a cock in my mouth at some point in the thread... noticed no one seemed to say anything about my game selections. i try to cover a bunch of different genres and sold off everything i didnt enjoy/didny play in 10 years. am i not weeb enough for the likes of you? i got....naruto....thats what the kids like nowadays eh?
eh?

Kills me that some of these prototype builds sit in a collector's basement somewhere because they refuse to dump or sell.

Is there a self-booting cdi of codebreaker, or do I really have to burn 2 CDs?

Doing this to play jap imports on my pal dreamcast. I keep hearing codebreaker is the best choice.

yeah life and shit in general is well...shit, so that's probably where the intrusive thoughts keep me from focusing and enjoying gaming anymore.

Nah /v/ is still endless discussion about the same handful of flavor of the month games. /vr/ is pretty stagnated in that way too, just the same fucking games and same lines of discussion over and over and over. It's been a long time now since I've actually discovered a new or retro game that's good and under the radar. Even the 'hidden gem' threads on both boards are all the same.

Not to mention we have an entire lost generation of games we'll never discuss over, 2000 to around 06-07, everything else seems to be /v/ after that.

At least they had a sense of humor about it.
