480i and 240p signals, however, will be processed and scaled up to something they can properly handle and display. This can introduce a delay.
Multisync and Multiformat sets that are able to scan down to 15khz properly won't have any. The list of sets that are actually capable of that is pretty small and consists primarily of older PC monitors, Multiformat PVM/BVMs, and some presentation monitors.

My HS420 seems to have 2 or 3 frames in comparison to my PVM over composite. If I ever get it working again, I might have to try to send a 480p signal through the two of them to see the difference.
