>That was a design modified enough to keep the lawyers away. Its what MS essentially did.
Nope. They designed something that did not work, instead of trying to make something that worked.

>Show the the tools and costings estimates if you want to tell me what can be done. I've taken pads apart, and I've a degree in industrial design. Making shit for commerical sale is not as simple as kitbashing or following an instructible.
If you have a degree in industrial design, you should know about simple shit as the gravis dpad attachment to mimick arcade sticks. There was plenty of options. MS simply did not do their "jobs", and just pushed out a thing.

>I'd like to think that Wu-Tang was like constantly smoking up the development team that came up with that shit while they were developing both the game and controller and that's why it ended up the way it did
it looks like some weird combonation of the SNES and genesis controller to me
though the phrase "awesome rip off of the SNES controller" made me think if this, which was actually a pretty nice game pad in it's time, that silly stick was useless though, I never understood the point of it and unscrewed it from the pad, I still have that pad, maybe I should get a usb converter for it just so I can use it with SNES emulation
