I'm having a weird problem with hooking up my PAL Wii to my sony PVM over RGB.

I'm using a 3rd party scart cable to hook it up, this one exactly: https://www.amazon.de/RGB-Scartkabel-f%C3%BCr-Nintendo-Wii-Mini/dp/B016F3UBN6/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_63_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=E002NTEXHA4QDS5AKXJV

Anyway when I plug it in the video comes out like pic related.
In the thread that image came from (i can't take my own right now so i just google searched for something) that guy said he found out the problem came from the RGB connections soldered incorrectly inside his cable. I don't know anything about soldering, but shouldn't swapping around the RGB inputs on my monitor do the same? I tried this a bunch but no dice. I got a whole bunch of other trippy colour set-ups but couldn't get the colours to be normal.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I also heard some people on the net saying they had a similar problem with differences in NTSC and PAL mode... but mine is a PAL system, running on a PAL monitor. I also get no difference by launching PAL or NTSC ROMs.
Btw, my PS2 runs fine on this... so it's not the monitor.
