Obligatory

It's only one player, it's repetitive, the music in the sega version most people consider inferior to the SNES port. It was lambasted by most critics on release.

But we love it.

It was lambasted by critics on release. Especially the Sega version for its sound. Though my friends and I loved it. And I've found that everyone on /vr/ has a fondness for it.
It's a great beat em up that took me years to complete.
I personally never found the music all that bad on the Megadrive.

I bought the cart only in 96 with a batch of other second hand games and I loved it, so did my friends. I can still go back to it and replay it when I fire up the Megadrive. Batman Forever and Maximum Carnage are my go-to games for mindless time killing violence and I recall that that game was shit on when it came out.
Batman Forever plays like how Mortal Kombat Mythologies should have played. I didn't know about the hate for it until recently. I can understand it has its flaws with its controls but I can't understand its reputation as one of the worst games out there.

So LJN is featured on the box and cart of the SNES version, nowhere to be seen on the Megadrive/Genesis box or cart, yet the logo does appear in the opening (I own it).

Anyway this game was savaged by critics and still gets an unfair rap for being repetitive (Duh, it's a fucking beat em up!)
But I know it gets love on /vr/. It's a go-to game for me when I power up the sega, I love it.
