Daggerfall's is actually pretty horrible. They have a superiority complex despite jerking off a mediocre at best game. You can tell all of them want to appear hardcore but they embarrass themselves by using what are basically buzzwords to try to make that shitty game sound waaaay more interesting than it is, saying stuff like "scale" "freedom" and "innovative." If someone isn't 10 years old they won't be fooled by what is essentially marketing lingo. Ironically most of them came after Daggerfall Unity got to a more complete state, which is not how the fucking game played in '96 I can assure you that, but boy are they still going to circlejerk about how amazingly retro and hardcore they are.

I'm having a hard time trying to appreciate this one for what it is. What exactly is supposed to be fun about this game?

Can I get a brief catalogue on some western style RPGs everyone should play? Someone thing focused more on going on a journey and building yourself and/or a group up along the way rather than raiding a few dungeons. I prefer if it doesn't the DnD style alignments. The type of setting and character perspective doesn't matter. I don't care about sexy girls, just some games to play.
