Also games like Harvest Moon, but at least in that case it's much more obvious and clearly stated that you're under time constraints.

You literally cannot stop this enemy, it is a representation of how much time you have left to complete the campaign; the entire campaign gameplay is one giant timed mission. Too slow on one mission can mean death.
