Quake 1 runs almost entirely on atmosphere, moody music, and good gameplay. Don't expect any kind of real story. Fantastic game. Quake 2 runs almost entirely on gameplay and great music, getting revenge on the aliens who destroyed Texas. Another fantastic game. Both Quake 1 and 2 have expansion packs worth playing, both have mods and community made maps worth playing. It's a good time.
