Literally no one calls it that. It's a 6th gen console. The rules say no 6th gen consoles are allowed. The sticky was updated to "allow" dreamcast when the PS4 and Xbone came out and specifically says
>the Sega Dreamcast will now be considered "retro", though the remainder of the sixth generation (Xbox, PS2, GameCube) will not.
So the sticky acknowledges that it's 6th gen as well. But the rules aren't updated to acknowledge it. It still says
>Sixth generation and later consoles are not considered retro
Why would the pre-2000 rule take priority over the 6th gen rule?
Bottom line, the rules need to be updated instead of making 2 useless vidya boards
