rare quality nesfag post
playing zero for the second time after a decade, it's so goddamn fucking clunky

>iframes out the ass
>picking up items is buggy as shit and requires extreme pixel hunting, you will often stand on top of the item and be unable to pick it up
>raising and lowering weapons takes forever
>most weapons take two item slots
>HOOKSHOT
>tiny leaches

I wish I had the tennacity to replay the original gamecube version of zero, just to see if the annoyances are REmaster-exclusive.

As far as REmake goes, it does some things better and some things worse than OG. Atmosphere is hit and miss, defensive items are easy mode tier, can clip through most enemies, overall easier than original.

>PC version let's you play both the western and original jap release, not sure if DC does. Jap release is actually pretty shit, is much easier and has different supply placement, where absolutely NO supply is hidden and you find more in plain sight. It's pretty shit desu but it's worth playing once just to realize how much they fucked up with the original release of RE2.

This is false.
In western releases, all of the ports, you have "new game" with its two difficulty modes (three on PC and dreamcast), and then you have "arrange game" with its own difficulty levels. Arrange is easier. But in japanese editions these are simply swapped around, so in Jap release "New game" is easier and "arrange" is actually the western difficulty.
That's why if you want to play the Sourcenext PC re-release for its hard mode you don't start New Game > Hard mode, but instead go to Arrange game > Hard mode.

Hopefully this cleared some stuff for you buddy

Yes, I was legitimately scared and scarred for life by its 15fps execution and 6 feet draw distance.

More abilities =/= better by default. What good is quick turn when it takes two seconds to execute + there is input lag and as well you can't start moving in the opposite direction as well. Same with it having strafing. What good is being able to strafe when 99% of the game is in secluded narrow hallways and rooms.

That would be like if I said that Resident Evil 6 is the best horror game ever because it genuinely has an impressive amount of shit that you can pull off. But sadly that's not the merit .

Honestly first two animated movies are pretty decent. The third, most recent one is pure garbage.

>lets recycle Chris's backstory from RE6 but with Leon!
>lets fuck up Chris's design!
