I skim anything I've read a lot,
but I read it if it looks like something I'm not familiar with.

Like with Final Fantasy VII,
I just read it really really fast since I subconsciously know almost every line of dialogue. But there are some scenes in the late game that I haven't seen as much in the first half, so I read that.

I miss the mystery of older games cause nowadays you get clear objectives or a literal line on the ground you can follow.

Dont get me wrong though the majority of JRPGS did this shit all wrong and most people incorrect mistake mystery and adventure for purposeful obtuse game design.

A vast majority of the NES library is garbage even before AVGN came along

PSX resolution was far too low to see more than 15 feet in front of you in racing games despite having the best selection of that generation

most crt/dot matrix filters are fucking fine. get over it
