/vr/ - Retro Games

Post your current age, the country you're from and describe two /vr/ situations involving some kind of social interaction, one of them from back in the days and one recent.

I'll start right away. I'm from Germany and currently 30. Here are my situations:

1) I was with my best friend and we were like ten years old and playing Street Fighter II Turbo. We had some kind of argument before and the whole atmosphere was a bit aggressive. Then when we first beat the game with a certain character (I think it was Vega/Balrog), my friend covered the screen just so that I couldn't see the ending. I got really aggressive and we beat each other up until his parents came and kicked me out.

2) The same guy is still my friend today and last Christmas, we forced our girlfriends (who are unfortunately not nerdy at all...yet) to play some vintage games. We played mostly SNES, multiplayer games like Bomberman or Micro Machines. My girlfriend was so bad that she locked herself with a bomb in Bomberman right at the beginning a few times. She also said that she's never seen me in such a hilarious mood.

If you mean its exclusive library, it's as good as any major consoles: a couple of truly timeless games, a dozen great ones, and a bunch of good ones.

If you mean its hardware, no, no, it was a confused mess that tread ass-backwardsly the ground between 3d and 2d.
