Diagonal jumps work good too. They teach you that in the tutorial even.

But yes, you can jump for quite a large amount of time after running off a ledge. Like... Much longer than you'd think. Where as in 99% of games with jumping you typically jump right at the very edge, which seems most obvious and natural and rralistic. So most people do that and miss jumps and fall and die or get frustrated and then say the platforming is shit.

But you simply run OFF the edge and as you begin to dip down jump and you get easily an extra few feet of distance. Practice it for literally 2 minutes and you'll never miss a jump again.

The remaster got rid of the shadow underneath Turok for easily telling where you're landing for some reason too. Modders brought that back.
