And a few hints regarding secrets:
Most of them are in the first half of the map.
Easier difficulties have certain markers to show that there are secrets, otherwise you'll mainly have to pay attention to small details in texture differences or out of place items.
The last secret requires a very precise running leap; I've got a consistent method of crossing the gap, but I don't blame you if you decide to actually jump to it. Be sure to pay attention to which switch you hit!
