I never got the characterization that Nintendo just pumps out quick sequels to the same games over and over again. Because as a Nintendo fan, one of my biggest complaints is that they don't put out quick sequels enough.

Nintendo series rarely get more than 1 entry on any console. There exceptions, but you're generally gonna get 1 2D Mario, 1 3D Mario, 1 Zelda, 1 Smash, 1 Mario Kart, and once that's out, you just gotta wait for the next console.

I wish we got iterative sequels between the big jumps.
