Actually if you got the chance you should ask what his favorite mapS are so he can rattle off a few instead of just one.

Be a good idea to ask if he even still plays much of doom anymore in the first place.

I see this said a lot but I really wonder if this is all it's made out to be. I'm not saying they should all be straight corridors but Doom, Doom 2, Final Doom and Eviloution and many, many good famous maps have areas you dont return to after going through them once.

I didnt fully ''get it'' but it was fun to romp around in in Sunder.

Play it on the harder difficulties though, I had a good romp with it last night in episode 2 on "stalin is after you".

I dont know which would be more impressive.

A guy who was trying but it was ''so bad it's good" or a guy who knew how to write and did it in a style that was intentionally bad.
