This thread inspired me to look into these games. I'm assuming the PC port of these games outside of the first Soul Reaver are ideal? Does it take a lot of work to get them up and running with patches? I remember watching a video regarding the PC port of Blood Omen being a bit janky, but not for the usual gameplay stuff but more so bugs.

I fuck with it. Very interesting experience, I remember when I first played it I struggled getting far on my own without a guide and I made a lot of progress (would NOT have been able to beat it though that's for sure), unfortunately my laptop died and just played through it when it showed up on steam and just browsed a guide to find the items. Atmospheric as hell and leaves a lot to the imagination and discussion but outside of that, I have a hard time recommending it to anyone who isn't already into weird outsider media. Not retro but I've yet to play the reimagining/remake They made a few years ago but I hear its just Little Nightmares but with Yume Nikki. I'm also hard pressed to say I would like more games like Yume Nikki because these sorts of atmospheric exploration games always feel one and done to me and the only reason I came back to finish off Yume Nikki was because I genuinely love the world of the game and design of the locations and sprites despite how simple they are. I've yet to try any of the fan games yet but at this point I'm just getting more off topic. Overall, an experience I loved but definitely an acquired taste. It'll either pull you in or just be super boring.
