The Granstream Saga is one of the most beginner-friendly JRPGs I've ever played. It also features what may be one of my favorite combat systems in the genre, so there's that.

I love Granstream Saga, but even when it came out it looked pretty bad. Say what you want about FF7's lego people, but at least they had eyes.
