In general when buying retro games, the price is only going to go up and up and the supply is only going to get less and less, right?

Thinking of buying a game but it's at $120 or so on Amazon and ebay right now, which is a tad pricey for me. Would it be wise for me to wait for a price drop, or is it also possible all copies of the game could leave retail forever?
