Forgive my ignorance in the previous post, actually i want to say that they looks alright for the very basic materials with such setup the engine has, in the pic here you can see Doom 3 models looks alright with them.

However what i do mean is that you absolutely have no control of these effects besides adjust how much specular they will trigger, and they will always look like glossy plastic instead of also looking like glass, liquid or even metal.
