LMOA include me in the screencap. I'm 40 and no zoomer but it's high time for the GBA. Good decision, it's a vocal minority of trolls who think this is a bad idea.

Ignore the fact that it's not in focus due to shitty smartphone camera. Seriously, I'm not shitting on modern displays, but a CRT can black very well if you know enough to do minor adjustments in the menu. I'm not one of the idiots who give people shit for using modern screens, but I do prefer and use CRT myself when possible.

>The neo geo pocket was a real travesty though. Great display, that fantastic microswitched pad, color, and backed by one of the best developers at the time. It had so many great fucking games. And no one bought it

NGPC is pretty damn amazing. If you don't mind non backlit, it's one of the best handheld systems I've played. There isn't a ton of software for it, but what there is is very good. If SNK could have properly marketed it and maybe got the price point down, this thing would have been a real show stopper.

Here's an often posted pic to keep this crt related.

>paying more than new prices for a 20 year old broadcast monitor.

You underestimate the prices they were when new. I get your point though, and it's a good one.

Honestly this, that picture is clearly out of focus.

PVM and admittedly not a well focused picture either. Nice consumer sets look much better, this looks good to me, but it's too sterile.

This section you posted in world 2 is the best area to test if your setup has lag. It's very easy to tell in this spot. On a no lag setup, you can touch the wood (hehehehe) before pushing the button to jump and it doesn't feel rushed. With bad lag you have to jump before you even land on the wood.

Pic unrelated to lag test area but I like it.

>Stealth GEMZ thread.

I still play Mr. Gimmick at least twice a week. Honestly there are a lot of good games worth playing on NES. Sure there are crap ones, but a lot of times even the bad ones can be so bad they are good, or it can be neat analyzing the gameplay mechanics or why they are bad. Hell, even a few bad games are amazing graphically or have amazing sound.
