They could have easily have just not even set up an automated system to respond. You know what most companies do when you send them an email or a letter? Nothing.

They usually won't even acknowledge that they know their fanbase wants a title. But someone, whoever they are at Square Enix, went out of their way to make a public statement that they give a shit and want to get the ball rolling on more localizations for Dragon Quest. They openly said they want responses and messages from the fans to pour in to help back their statement to whoever the fuck has the power to make it happen so we all can enjoy good vidya.

Even if it seems insincere to a complete fucking faggot like you, at least this shows that they're dedicated to at least comforting their fans in knowing that they recieved feedback from them. So I'm sorry if I'm impressed that they actually took the time to make it seem like they at least give a shit.

This might be true for some, but I went from being an emulationfag to full-on original hardware CRT user.
I buy games to play them and enjoy the experience of playing them on their hardware, not for any silly speculation market value crap.
I can load a .nes file on any number of devices in my house, but that feels hollow compared to pulling a cart out of its sheath, opening the flap door of the NES, pushing the cart in until you feel the hold of the pins and pushing it down with a click into the console. It's purely sentimental, but it's an aspect of the hobby that appeals to me.

Games can't age.

Stuff like people and food age because their inner quality can change in time COMPARED to THEIR OWN quality in previous time. NOT compared to other people or food.

Milk is aging terribly because that milk itself gets sour.
Wine can become tastier over the time again compared to its previous taste.

There's nothing that can change in a fucking game. Graphics, controls, user-(un)friendliness is still the fucking same. Game can't just magically lose some polygons. It doesn't matter other games now have more fucking polygons. That's not aging.

I guess you could argue that MMORPG or online games can somehow age since the servers can be dead and whatnot.
