Bump for this thread cause i would like to see VF discussed around here, even so I very doubt you'll find advanced VF players in this board, OP. This game have one of the most steep learning curve ever thanks to its asymmetric fighters.

I'm pretty sure there are good examples of gouraud shading on models of that gen. It's just that flat polygons are the more aesthetic ones, imho. At least when talking about fighting games:

Tobal n 1 > Tobal N 2
Virtua Fighter 2 Arcade > VF 2 Saturn
