So yeah, it's around this month; we might as well discuss the series and whatnot.

I like the second game best, but it's amazing how sophisticated some the puzzles were in the first one. The branching dialogue trees as a basic combat engine; self-updating inventory with the grog jar(s) puzzle; hijacking the action line for comedy routine cutscenes; unscripted exploration with the "maps"; The Secret. It almost look like a consciously meta retro-style game made 20 years later.
