This room is impossible if you actually try to do it.
The spikes kill you if you move into them. But if you let go of the controls and float up into them you bump harmlessly against them and you can just drift through the area.

Don't push up. If you let yourself drift upward you will bump against the spikes harmlessly. You can move left and right while doing this.

If you don't press up, you will float against the spikes without being hurt.
Only press left and right. Try it!
