-Cultists and zombies die to one flare, just pop them with one and wait a few seconds. Fatty zombies die in two.
-If they get hit with so much as a single bullet, cultists will be 'dazed'/'suppressed' for a moment; it's not a traditional "hitstun". They won't attack, just strafe a bit in place for a few seconds for easy pickings. To start out, you can try poking a few with the tommy then follow up with a sawed off secondary blast.
-Like the enforcers in Duke 3d, cultists have a "turn speed" that you can outstrafe.
-Dosbox, Nblood, BuildGDX, Fresh Supply - there's a few different sourceports to play if you're not getting satisfied and want to keep at it.

Nearly everything in Blood is fun to shoot, explode, or burn to death, but cultists are definitely important to keeping the fights at their most fun and challenging.
I wouldn't mind seeing new monsters in Blood, though.
